Bandwidth appetite was growing, and the Carrier did such a poor job offering connectivity to growing businesses. Telecom Ottawa's service offerings were a compelling alternative. At my time at Telecom Ottawa, I grew an extremely large base of clients across the High Tech, Professional Service, Federal Government and Large Enterprise. Working for a municipally owned network company was a unique experience. We were competing with Rogers, Bell, All-Stream and Telus, who all sought to buy Telecom Ottawa a few times. The City of Ottawa eventually sold Telecom Ottawa to Atria Networks, in 2007 -
