This role will allow me to combine marketing and sales skills to promote the various facilities that we have at the golf club, to attract new customers and golfing members. Other responsibilities include monitoring the health and safety requirements that the club has, liaising with the greenskeeping team to look at new and exciting opportunities for the development of the course and attracting corporate sponsorship to help fund larger projects.

This role allowed me to gain experience and knowledge of how the greenskeeping team care for and develop the golf course. During this role, my responsibilities included day-to-day care of the course: operation of greens, tees and fairway mowers, repairs to and maintenance of bunkers, etc.

During the years that I have worked at the Golf Club, I have worked in a number of roles. I started off as a part of the Waiting Staff team before being offered work on the Reception/Pro Shop desk due to my keen interest in Golf. I started to work behind the bar when there were staff shortages and this soon became my main role. I continue to work as a Bartender at Hazlemere Golf Club during my holiday breaks from University.

As part of the Social Services initiative set up by my grammar school, I volunteered at my local primary school as a Teaching Assistant on Thursday afternoons. I did this for two years and it gave me great experience with people management and communication skills.
