Spiral Q exists at the intersection of community arts, civic engagement and creative activism. We operate numerous programs that engage thousands of citizens yearly. Developing/leading school and community partnerships, public engagement and arts-learning programs for local and city-wide efforts. Hiring, training and supervising teams of 10 teaching artists and 20-30 interns annually. Supporting executive director with annual marketing, communication and development campaigns. Responsible for all contracts/earned revenue programs. Leading communication campaigns for our major annual public arts and park program, The Peoplehood Parade and Pageant, including social media, e-communications and print materials. Developing/managing annual program budgets.* Directed programs for youth/adults in school and community settings, annually educating 1,000 students in sequential, project-based residencies; thousands more in assemblies, outdoor engagement workshops and other learning models. Secured programs in more than 60 schools and and 150 classrooms during tenure.* Managed or co-managed corporate/foundation relationships, site visits, proposal writing and reporting for Spiral Q’s major programs, securing more than $350K annually. Netted maximum results with key corporate sponsor, PNC Bank.* Education programs recognized nationally, with 3 consecutive years of NEA (Learning In Arts) funding and 2 grants from National Guild for Community Arts Education. http://www.spiralq.org
