Born and raised on Bainbridge Island, Wash., Tedford moved from the Northwest to Southern California to attend Claremont McKenna College, where he earned his B.A. in International Government and Business Management while playing football and lacrosse for the school.​After graduating, Tedford headed to Alaska to brave the seas as a commercial fisherman in search of adventure and gain. After many stories and valuable lessons learned, he returned to Los Angeles to dive into the business world.In Los Angeles, Tedford got his start in B2B outside sales. In 2008, he founded The So Cal Group, Inc., an outsourced direct sales and marketing firm specialized in customer acquisition. Over the past 11 years, The So Cal Group has grown into an industry leader, partnering with some of the nation's largest brands and Fortune 100 companies. They have received numerous awards and national recognition for their results and continuous growth year over year, and have ranked as a top "Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation" every year since 2014. The So Cal Group's involvement in the energy sector led to the launch of EnSo Group, Inc. in 2019. Tedford has led the EnSo Group team since its inception and has quickly helped it become a unique full-service energy solution and sustainability provider in the commercial energy space. Tedford is a fervent believer that climate and environmental issues can be solved through social entrepreneurship in the renewable energy sector. He is passionate and determined to lead the charge in sustainability by equipping his team, clients, and partners with the tools and education to make a dramatic impact on their businesses, communities, and the world.
