Platform Engineering Manager
CurrentAs Platform Engineering Manager I am responsible for managing the platform engineering team and the development and maintenance of the company's platforms. ECI provides business critical cloud hosted ERP products to 25,000 small businesses across the globe, all managed by a complex web of technical capabilities. The platform team is responsible for standardizing, scaling, securing and operationalizing all of the products and services across our AWS, Azure, GCP and colocation environments to ensure every customer receives the same world class cloud experience regardless of the product.Overseeing the development of the platform, including designing, coding, testing, and deploying platform components, as well as managing the platform engineering team's workflow, resources, and budget. I work closely with other teams to ensure the platform meets their needs. Additional responsibilities include:• Developing, implementing, and managing the platform engineering team's processes and procedures. • Designing, coding, testing, and deploying platform components focusing on repeatability, security, and ease of use. • Ensuring the platform is secure, up-to-date, and meets requirements. • Ensuring the platform is compatible with other systems. • Working with other teams to ensure the platform meets their needs. • Managing the platform engineering team's resources and budget. • Mentoring and coaching team members on platform engineering best practices. • Defining and promoting platform engineering standards. • Monitoring and analyzing platform performance. • Troubleshooting platform issues.(OpenAI may or may not have authored some or all of this post)
