Ted manages research in cognitive modeling.Three innovative notions are merged: an advancement of situation theory, the organizing principle of dynamic narrative causality and implementable formalisms based on category theory and geometric logics.Work focuses on three applications: engineering advanced virtual enterprises, understanding cinematic narrative and remodeling biomolecular dynamics. Results from the first of these are widely used.“Back end” notions of a few kinds have been defined and are available for review.The focus project is the startup redframer.com, to provide assisted, collaborative, cinematic, long form metanarrative.Public background projects are: the filmsfolded.com project which looks at structured introspective, self-organizing narrative dynamics; and the kutachi.com project which tackles the problem of how to build next generation user interfaces that handle situations.
