The Michigan Diversity Education Center (MiDEC), a Michigan based 501(c)(3) tax-deductible nonprofit organization, was created to serve as a strong voice and global change-agents for those who are being marginalized, undeserved or experiencing barricades that are preventing them from full access to a high-quality of life.

LEAP is the economic development organization proudly representing the tri-county region of Ingham, Clinton and Eaton counties in partnership with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. We are a private-public partnership governed by a Board of Directors comprised of over 75 business and municipal leaders from across the tri-county region.

• Provided direct executive level support to the President, managed calendar, scheduled meetings, secured all travel needs and personal appointments, handled all business correspondences, created PowerPoint presentations, and compiled data and research for reports and special projects as assigned.• Scheduled and organized all Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings; including the creation and mailing of all meeting packets and materials, secured caterers and oversaw the setup of the room. Formatted, typed and mailed all company meeting minutes and corresponding documents. • Served as company’s Diversity Advocate for those issues related to diversity, racism and social justice.• Maintained all company documents including bylaws, corporate policies, publications, and all company distribution lists. Created monthly E-newsletter, including overseeing any additions and changes for all content on the company’s website.• Oversaw the daily operations of the organization, including vendor selection, purchasing and procurement and served as human resources coordinator.
