I have an extensive and varied background in Information Technology. While my earlier years in the field where focused on more centralized computing environments, I did have the good fortune to work with Control Data Corporation on large scientific mainframe computer installations. A number of these sites where universities, research centers and federal government agencies which often utilized the most cutting edge wide area communications systems of their time. Leveraging this early experience in wide area networking I shifted my focus to more distributed computing environments. My experience allowed me to design innovative solutions to some very complex Wide Area Network infrastructures. Some of the topologies include X.25, Frame-Relay, HDLC, and SDLC transports to facilitate communications for a variety of Network Operating Systems and hosts. In more recent times and with the advent of faster transport solutions I have redesigned and deployed networks comprising large portions of the eastern United States using the latest high speed solutions including multiple Gigabit Ethernet over fiber Metropolitan Area Networks.I have focused my efforts on Cisco powered solutions for over the last twenty years. I have continued designing and implementing the latest Cisco powered solutions and always strive to stay informed on the most recent technological solutions to achieve my customer’s goals.I posses excellent troubleshooting skills and have acted as a technical resource to many of my peers on communications and Network Operating Systems. From being designated as the technical support engineer for the entire eastern United States for specific product lines, to acting as the technical lead for a global network support call center that supported our customer’s enterprise networks that included some of the largest fortune 500 companies on a global scale.Specialties: Premise distribution systems, LAN, WAN infrastructure, security systems...
