I served as the first Vice President of Marketing for Artifex, a company with a long track record serving as a trusted provider of core technologies for image rendering, document handling and management. Our product portfolio includes highly technical software tools which are sold via OEM and a mobile application (SmartOffice) that is an alternative for MS Office. In my role I oversaw all corporate and product marketing efforts, including marketing and product strategy, brand management, web site, marcom/PR, email marketing, social media and trade/event marketing. I also led sales (retail, enterprise), product management and business development efforts for our SmartOffice mobile app. Net – a lot of needs, but a lot of opportunity.Upon joining Artifex I faced two main challenges: modernize the overall company market presence and figure out a strategy to grow our mobile app business (which was in steep decline). Significant achievements during my tenure include:• Repositioned SmartOffice to focus on enterprise market opportunities and restructured pricing/sales strategies. Personally led enterprise sales efforts. Results: +300% revenue growth over two years.• Led product management initiatives to redesign SmartOffice into a modern, more user friendly app while introducing key value added features, all of which helped drive sales uptake by key enterprise customers.• Revamped decades old Artifex corporate brand to a more contemporary brand, repositioning company as an innovative, solution-oriented company that is on top of key technologies and trends. • Led development of new web site for Artifex in 2017, consolidating 4 disjointed sites on three platforms into one cohesive, contemporary site, improving brand communication and lead generation. Kabam was a leading global publisher of hardcore connected games; free-to-play, digitally delivered games that core gamers can enjoy on a variety of Internet connected platforms (Google+, Facebook, mobile and other gaming platforms worldwide). The company’s massively multiplayer games led the way in the free to play, virtual goods monetization model that has disrupted the traditional game business. I served as a member of the Leadership Team as we grew from 120 to 500 employees and over $300MM in revenue. My role was to lead development of brand strategy, corporate marketing, product marketing launches, market research and PR plans (corporate, product) for the company.
