Mason served as chairman of the committee (ANSI X9A11) that published the first national standard (X9.58) for today’s SNAP (Food Stamps) card-based electronic benefits transfer (EBT) system. Ted was also a participant in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) AutoID Center where the Internet of Things (IoT) originated.Ted provides retail technology consulting services from his home in beautiful Lexington, KY. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and grew up in retail within his father's chain convenience store company.
