During my time at FFIC I was tasked with the job to create a Department Playbook. The Playbook consolidated all tasks, roles, responsibilities, and SLA/OLA interactions on how to contact/escalate an issue. In order to gather all this information I had to interview and gather documentation for the AnthillPro Team which works with deployment of code into environments, work with the ClearCase team which works on the Change Management and work with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). In order to properly document all of these parts I had to learn quickly how these interact with each other and how they are used.Also during the creation of the Playbook, I came across a major hole in how the SDLC Tool Admin manages/tracks per-seat licenses when software is installed or removed from a client/user. I then recommended a simple Software Asset Management (SAM) system by constructing a database to store the software and users as well as the software licenses to track when, and who is using what software.The Second Project that was tasked to a group of interns was to create a sustainable feedback process that evaluates the company's internal Knowledge Capture (KC) process. Throughout the project we created a survey asking questions to the Subject Matter Experts (SME) to evaluate how KC Engineers did. After gathering this data we then proceeded to analyze our findings and give proper recommendations to help improve the process.
