Ted Moyle (P.E.), has established himself within the global Arup Fire network incorporating in excess of 140 Fire Safety Engineers, and can readily draw upon this collective experience.Ted takes a practical and innovative approach to Fire Safety Engineering, and actively works with clients, authorities, architects, builders, services designers, fire departments and other team members to produce design solutions which are safe, flexible, functional and cost effective.An important part of his role is the application of hazard assessment and risk analysis principles, with a focus on fire and life safety. Applied through in assessing design options, but also in the provision of advice to clients in areas of due diligence and risk management.Ted is skilled in the application of analysis techniques including fire and smoke spread, heat transfer, and occupant evacuation computer modelling. The use of these techniques has allowed the client to make best use of available resources, and utilise design solutions that satisfy complex, and often conflicting requirements. Ted has applied these principles to developments ranging from public assembly, new buildings, extensions and refurbishments.Ted has a broad knowledge and experience of fire and life safety design in the USA, Australia and the UK.
