As a director on the Health Sciences North Fondations board, I collaborate with other directors to shape governance, finance, strategy, and fundraising initiatives. I am actively involved in contributing to the policies, budgets, and compliance of the organization, helping shape the strategic plan and aligning it with the hospital's mission. My responsibilities extend to fundraising efforts, helping identify potential donors, volunteering in campaigns, and sitting on the finance committee of the foundation, ensuring resources are managed effectively. Engaging in advocacy, I represent the foundation at events and build community relationships. Collaboration is at the heart of my work, as I actively engage with board members, hospital leadership, and external partners to foster cohesive decision-making. As a steward of the foundation's resources, I am committed to ensuring transparent and ethical use of donor contributions. Overall, my role involves assisting with but also learning from my colleagues in regards to strategic planning, financial oversight, advocacy, and collaboration, contributing to the hospital's mission and community impact.
