Principal geophysicist for the reservoir studies division specializing in structural interpretation of seismic data along with seismic inversion computation and analysis, AVO modeling and analysis, multivariate seismic attribute analysis, and velocity modeling in conjunction with geology and engineering team. This reservoir characterization is often used for hydrocarbon reserves estimation and field development planning. All types of reservoirs around the world are considered in both exploration and development phases.

I worked in the E&P Consulting group which focused primarily on reservoir characterization and well planning for unconventional reservoirs including the Eagle Ford, Bakken and Niobrara. This was accomplished by interpreting seismic data, generating/analyzing seismic attributes (including inversion, anisotropy and spectral decomposition) and comparing the production at each well against the seismic attributes while considering the engineering parameters at each well (wellbore length, wellbore azimuth, number of frac stages, etc.) in multi-variate statistics to generate a 3D model highlighting the most productive areas of the reservoir while including recommendations on completion strategies.

As a geophysicist at Prism Seismic, my primary duties for consulting are aimed at reservoir characterization, which ultimately results in drilling recommendations for the client whether it is an exploration or development role. Generally, I see a project from beginning to end, including gathering of all available geologic, geophysical, and engineering data, doing QC and editing of that data, interpretation and integration of that data, and generation of results that are then presented to the client. Since Prism Seismic also develops software, my duties also include software testing/debugging and software design. Being in a company that provides consulting and software, I often work interactively with the clients and the programmers in order to obtain the best results in an efficient manner. I also do software training, software/consulting sales and advertisements. As a consultant, I have experience working many different types of oil and gas fields in many different locations around the world, including U.S. (Texas; Canada and Europe. This has exposed me to many different cultures and philosophies as well. My ability to speak and read French has been an invaluable asset.

Worked as part of the Reservoir Characterization Project (RCP) research consortium interpreting, analyzing, and cross-equalizing P-wave and multi-component time-lapse seismic data which ultimately provided the information presented in my thesis; duties also included presenting research to sponsors at a bi-annual meeting in both oral and written forms, where I edited and compiled the results from over a dozen different students.

Worked as part of the Weyburn Field (Saskatchewan, Canada) risk assessment team and performed long-term reservoir simulations and analyzed the results as part of a long-term risk assessment of the CO2 sequestration project at Weyburn.

Worked in the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico group and did pre-stack depth migration (PSDM) interpretation interactively with the processors of top and base of salt for velocity modeling of 2-D seismic lines in Walker Ridge.

Processed 2-D and 3-D seismic data for clients, from loading geometries to final migrations.
