We send high school students to work in corporate clerical jobs one day a week to earn tuition. My primary responsibilities include calling on existing business sponsors to monitor student performance, making sales calls on new business prospects, and developing leads for future corporate internship jobs. Other duties include interviewing, selecting and placing high school students in various corporate work-study jobs; evaluating students; coordinating work transportation; meeting with students and corporate sponsors to review performance; making sure all students are ready and willing to work; managing student work schedules; dealing with discipline issues; and checking students in and out at 7:15 AM and 5:00 PM each day. During the roll-out of the Mission System, Terminix's computer database system, I joined the Corporate IT staff, in travelling to branch operations around the United States. I lead trainer teams in some of the largest branch operations in Washington, DC, Clearwater, FL, Sacramento and Los Angeles, CA, as their entire staffs were converted to the AS-400 platform utilizing completely new technology.
