As Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology sees a new push for deployment, I provide leadership within Integral Blue for all things V2X, including Cellular-V2X (C-V2X) and where relevant, the historical Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) standards. I work with clients to identify use cases and system architectures in which to make best use of V2X and provide technical training around understanding the technology from an integration and maintenance perspective; I also participate on standards committees to ensure those perspectives are considered in the broader V2X ecosystem and keep Integral Blue on the bleeding edge of ITS technology.

In this role I was responsible for all technical aspects related to Connected Vehicle (CV) technology as IB's involvement in this industry continued to grow. My areas of expertise included the SAE J2735 message standards and the IEEE 1609 series WAVE communication standards around which Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) revolved.I also had extensive experience programming and integrating DSRC Road Side Units (RSUs) and provided guidance in those areas for our RSU deployments.

I originally served as an Intelligent Transportation Systems Engineer for Integral Blue, the current systems maintenance contractor and one of several ITS integration contractors for the Michigan DOT. My responsibilities here included project design support, Visio drafting, technical writing, standard operating procedure documentation, other project tasks, and internal IT support.

At TYME, I provided IT support and system maintenance for office and team of field inspectors. This involved servicing laptops, desktops, smartphones, and core network infrastructure. Beyond IT, I also provide support in ITS inspection and engineering. ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) incorporates the use of technology to provide safer, smoother, and more efficient traffic flow. Applications include traffic monitoring systems, digital message display systems, and developing technologies like driverless transportation and vehicle-to-vehicle communication. My role in this field is to verify proper contractual construction and provide design support in the engineering phase of these projects.

Planning, executing, and testing ITS systems to be installed for various Department of Transportation, city, and large industry contracts. This meant inventorying equipment, assembling mock-ups of new systems, conducting system tests and location site surveys, managing assembly workers, designing configuration and installation schematics, and overseeing final system installation.

As a support technician, I help provided helpdesk IT support for a 100-employee client and breakfix support for other clients in the Detroit area. Other services I provided in this capacity were Off The Shelf software package deployment and support, custom developed software deployment, web design and content management, mobile phone and PC fleet management, marketing material design, business analysis, process documentation, user training and education, and application research.My roles at Initech fluctuated based on customer needs. While always being ready to support our clients when needed, I also provided project leadership for custom software, interfaced with users to learn about client business processes, identified inefficiencies, researched and implemented solutions to eliminate those inefficiencies, and served as a liaison between the technician and the user.

Creat10ns Media was founded by myself and Ben Carpenter in the summer of 2012 as a business venture we cooperated on during school. It has since transitioned into my hands after he moved out of state, and been closed in favor of a rebranding effort. I do still perform freelance video and photography services, but currently under my personal name.

Within the Marketing Department at Northland, I worked under the Audio/Video Manager. Under him was myself and the Audio Production Supervisor, and then under the both of were are a few other student employees.My position's responsibilities consisted of project management, project consultation, running the webcasting branch of my department, and varying degrees of video editing.

I was employed for one semester for Northland as a technology helpdesk worker. My duties included repairing projector systems around campus, reinstalling or updating operating systems and software on faculty machines, and giving student support in the computer labs, among other tasks.
