Candescent Health is a provider of cloud-based services that enable standards-based radiology across health systems. Our objective is to eliminate errors, variation, and waste in diagnostic imaging. Combining technology, knowledge, and services, we enable healthcare administrators to establish a data-driven, standards-based practice that maximizes physician talent, improves clinical outcomes, drives efficiency, and creates opportunities to grow. Candescent Health was born out of the success of Radisphere Inc., which was sold to Sheridan (NASDAQ: AMSG), in January 2015.

Actively participated in the implementation of all phases of data integration in customer Health Information Exchange projects, including message analysis, interface creation, functional and integrated testing, and go-live preparation. Data integration is typically unidirectional (source systems sending data to dbMotion's CDR). Source systems include EHR, LIS, RIS, Pharmacy, Registration, and more. Typical interfaces include HL7 v2 ADT, ORU, MDM, ORM, RDS, VXU, and PPR as well as HL7 v3 CDA documents (HITSP c32 CCD, C-CDA CCD, and unstructured CDA).

Managed a technical integration team comprised of HL7 interface analysts, Networking and DICOM specialists, and Technical Solution Designers and Project Managers. Ultimately responsible for all new technical service implementations. Actively led implementations in which vRad's cloud-based RIS/PACS was deployed for use by on-site radiology practices. Performed workflow analysis, solution design, and cross-functional team coordination to ensure optimal implemenation.Recipient of vRad's 2010 President's Award.

Created and supported HL7 interfaces primarily to/from various RIS/EMR/PACS systems for radiology report distribution, but also created orders and ADT interfaces. Experience interfacing with Cerner RadNet, GE Centricity RIS, EPIC, Siemens Syngo, Merge Fusion, Meditech, McKesson (Star, HBO, and HCI), Kodak CareStream, and many others. Typical interfaces included ORU, MDM, ORM, and ADT message feeds. Many custom interfaces were also built and maintained, including plain text, XSLT for conversion to pdf or XML, and direct database read and insert. Installed and and supported eMed teleradiology web servers and PACS. Involved deeply in all levels of customer project life-cycle including planning deployment, project management, physical installation and configuration, user training for clinical and non-clinical staff, and post-live support.

Acted as a primary instructor of College Algebra to college freshmen. Created lesson plans and delivered them, assigned and graded quizzes and held office hours for one-on-one tutoring.
