Tasked with managing all aspects of US office from personel to sales targets. We are responsible for a sales territory including the USA, Central and South America and the Caribbean Islands. We plan, budget and implement an annual marketing agenda among all market segments for each geographic area.

Contract based job to simplify all aspects of a then failing business. Solvency was inevitable and I was tasked with managing the sales functions and internal production simplification until a new owner was brought in. Work done then showed clearity to prospective buyers and ended with a new owner and fully functioning company out of bankrupcy. Hood Sailmakers thrives today.

In September of 2006 I was promoted to the Merchandising Manager with 5 employees under me. From that point until November of 2010 the department grew to upwards of 14 under my management. My department was in charge of purchasing, vendor relations, inventory management, product pricing and promotions, web content editing and new product additions. I have also become knowledgeable with the hands on aspect of a large percentage of products the company sells (over 200,000 products). During my time in this role the inventory and active vendors under management had more than doubled.

Again the company's needs had changed and I was promoted to the Purchasing Department. With a few years of rapid growth and the addition of many new vendors the Purchasing Department needed to expand. I was tasked with inventory management, placing purchase orders, vendor relations, updating pricing and product offering for around 100 vendors. In the Fall of 2005 the company moved to it's current location. We were tasked with managing a seamless inventory movement. The company did not have to close for a single day and we were able to continue the excellent fulfillment rate that our customers had been accustomed to.

The company's needs had changed so I was asked to manage the retail store and 2 other full time employees. I did this while also being asked to take technical sales calls from the call center to assist customers with specific product oriented questions. The retail store continued to grow at over 25% under my management.

I was moved to this position as company had decided to drastically upgrade our website. I reported to the Head of Marketing and was tasked with developing and writing a syllabus to be used by a team of writers that were being hired. We saw the results pay off instantly with a huge increase in web traffic and sales.

Duties included the day to day shelf merchandising and replenishment, customer relations and sales along with technical sales advice and project assistance.

Sold performance marine supplies to boat builders, local boat yards, retailers and distributors.

This was a job I had in college. Our main objective was to maintain yachts of all sizes to the highest quality and detail. We offered such services as:minor cosmetic repairs, weekly washing, gelcoat compound polish and wax, regular engine maintenance, winterizing, sea trials, day charter support, etc...
