CurrentOur company has had some quick hits I am very proud of and built our success with four exciting projects with large coverage. The first was a Corian design placed in the 5 Points MARTA station; photographed by the A.P., it has appeared in print in the NY Times among numerous other local and international papers, was blogged about by the MoMA, and featured in ABC news, NPR, and many design blog sites. The image was reposted over 20,000 times from one site alone. We followed this up with the i-Crow, a scarecrow design based on the form factor of the i-Phone for the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. This was the first scarecrow encountered upon entry, with a social and political message. It too was highly popular on the internet - surely in part to the untimely death of Steve Jobs during its display. The next win was our sculptural furniture line, FunnerThan Furniture - functional yet playful icons for storage and display. Our first line is Atomic Playrooms; designs with the look of 1950s sci-fi sets. This line has been featured in the Smithsonian-affiliated MODA Museum of Design, was a news article on Apartment Therapy, and appeared on the set of Big Bang Theory in Stewart's Comic Book Shop. Most recently we scored with a new line of music themed decor and storage, which was documented throughout the process on WNYC, the New York NPR affiliate. I was interviewed during the entire process of concept through design and production, and they linked to my site from the NPR site. This line is still in development but our first sample is destined for the NPR Soundcheck offices.
