I had the opportunity in the Summer of 2021 to serve with an organization in Costa Rica called 6:8 Ministries. Their mission is to build up foster homes and bring in missionaries to act as foster parents as they raise and pour into the children of Costa Rica. While here as an intern, my job has been to lead the mission teams that fly in throughout the summer. This job included leading them through the city, guiding them in the process of sharing the gospel with the children, and leading them in the various ongoing construction projects on this property. I was also able to lead in the grading of a new house going up. As this project progressed I was also able to lead in the process of pouring concrete. As an engineering student, 6:8 Ministries also allowed me to use previous AutoCAD experience to survey and draw the current property. I was also able to plan out the future homes going up.
