With a background in service and industrial design, I embarked on my professional journey in 2000 by founding my first company. This venture evolved from a two-person design studio to a 23-person multidisciplinary design agency that specialized in serving heavy industries such as cargo handling and mining, generating over €1.3 million in revenue before the financial crisis in 2009. Since 2010, my career has been marked by diverse experiences, including ventures into wearables, mobile apps, and eHealth service and business innovations with six co-founded startups. Whether launching and managing my own startups, providing coaching services, or serving as CEO, my focus has consistently been on commercializing scientific and research findings or new service and technology innovations.My expertise also extends to evaluating grant and blended finance proposals for the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) since 2021. Having assessed approximately 30 eHealth and service innovation proposals worth around €80 million, I specialize in deeptech proposals within the eHealth and new service or design innovations categories. My work in the eHealth and wellness sector has equipped me with a profound understanding of handling complex and extensive data streams from various sources and leveraging them to create innovative business solutions. I possess solid knowledge of complex team and project leading, stakeholder management, product development, new business concepting, entrepreneurship, and what it takes to build sustainable businesses and services from scratch.
