I am Teerna Bhattacharya, a hardworking and independent individual who hails from the City of Joy, Kolkata.A go-getter who is reliable and proactive, as known by my friends, I did my schooling from Delhi Public School,Kolkata and high school from Sushila Birla Girls’ School. Post that I did my B.A. Hons in History from Presidency University in Kolkata. Qualities I developed from each institution are being a team player, patience and structuring myself into one unique being respectively. I have done multiple internships where I met people from different walks of life. Growing up in an academic environment, I have been nurtured to foster the needs of others and cater to those who can’t do that themselves.I have been taught the values of honesty, humility, kindness, perseverance and impartiality. I have been at the helm of different roles and responsibilities from the time I was in school. From being the prefect to being the President of one of the oldest debating societies of India, my journey has definitely not been a bed of roses but rather, one with several thorns my way. An important lesson I learnt from that journey was the act of conflict management. According to me, a leader is someone who creates more leaders and has the ability of creating unique solutions for each and every problem. I believe this to be my mantra in life and wish to follow this value always. I have assumed several leadership roles wherein I had to organise fests, manage funds and just be there at whatever capacity possible. I have been fascinated by the different cultures of our country and have consciously adapted the unique nitty gritties of the different cultures .An all-rounder, I have been a professional dancer for the last 16 years and have participated and won in various national quizzes, debates and extempore throughout my life. Along with that I am a theatrician and have played various sports like football and badminton. I strive to do better always and believe that I can actually make the optimum use of this post if given to me.
