Design Engineer
CurrentAs an engineering intern at General Dynamics Electric Boat, I am involved in the design of the next generation of submarines and supporting hands-on problem-solving during the construction process. My role goes beyond engineering responsibilities, providing me with unique opportunities such as Electric Boat shipyard tours and exposure to executives and mentors.I am part of a highly-trained design team at Electric Boat, responsible for designing the most complex ships. Utilizing state-of-the-art computer systems, such as CATIA and AutoCAD, I am involved in ship design from concept to detailed design. Working within a team environment, I follow disciplined processes to ensure that our designs meet product specifications, affordability, and quality requirements, while also satisfying stringent operability standards.Being a part of General Dynamics Electric Boat has allowed me to gain valuable experience and develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
