Tegan began his professional career as a musician, performing at age-restricted, multi-cultural venues from age 14. He went on to study music at the prestigious University of North Texas jazz program before touring and recording to burnout. He loved writing and recording music but abandoned the road to pursue something new. He cut 8 inches of locks and joined the Fort Worth Police Department, where he successfully served 13 years (Narcotics, Gang, Homicide, and the F.B.I.'s Gang & Violent Crimes Task Force). His primary assignments were uniquely deep undercover, and he prepared and served over 500 successful, high-risk search warrants.In the following years, Tegan accrued extensive experience in personal protection, investigations, and threat analysis. He also instructed police departments and recruits in defensive tactics and arrest procedures.Operation Fishbowl, a self-initiated deep undercover endeavor turned massive F.B.I. operation - sentenced 51 violent Crip gang members to prison, earned a U.S. Attorney Commendation, Tegan named FWPD Officer of the Year, Operation nominated F.B.I. Case of the Year. Broadwater authored a popular book, "Life in the Fishbowl," detailing his harrowing experiences, his unique relationships, and his cultural awakening amidst gang-infested neighborhoods. All book profits are donated to charities that mentor children of incarcerated parents. 2008: Tegan founded Tactical Systems Network, a protection, security, and investigations firm providing high-level consultancy, service, and assessments. T.S.N.'s 80+ employees are comprised of over 50% military veterans.Public Speaking: Tegan speaks about his unusual life experiences and relationships garnered via Operation Fishbowl and how those relate to cycles of gang violence, business, systemic racism, racial disparity in our prisons, addiction, security concepts, and various other critical societal issues. Music: He writes and records music focused on placements for his LA-based TV series and other collaborative projects with successful artists to bring important social issues to light.
