Education And Public Programs OfficerGallery Services (Perc Tucker Regional Gallery And Pinnacles Gallery), Townsville City Council Mar 2013 - Dec 2015TownsvilleWorking within Gallery Services, I gained experience in contributing across various creative teams in the one organisation to realise and present community art programs which work towards realising the Galleries Visual Arts Strategy. In creating such programs I have had to contribute to creative discussions to establish new ideas, whilst taking direction from my Creative Manager. I project managed and produced festival workshops and events, opening events for performances and exhibitions, educational components to performances and exhibitions, and the implementation and delivery of effective monthly events such as markets. To achieve these outcomes, I required exceptional customer service skills to discuss projects with the community and key stakeholders including local government and other arts organisations - considering and responding to the needs of all stakeholders involved. The Creative Communities Programs, at Gallery Services included the regular development of workshos, education resources and community engagement activities throughout Gallery Services. I assisted in developing the exhibition calendar, school holiday workshops inspired by current exhibitions, tours, creative classroom talks and workshops, artist demonstrations, workshop intensives, and opening events.I have created and installed interactive learning elements within exhibition spaces; research, design, and concept development of activity books and education resources. I regularly engaged with teachers and liaised with artists and community members to deliver and promote Gallery events, workshops and tours. I liaised with local and national stakeholders including artists and sector professionals to delivery gallery business, workshops and important events.
