I am a Primary trained teacher with a Masters of Teaching from the University of Western Australia. My professional experience has been in a high-school context teaching years 7-12 Humanities and Social Sciences content, English and Psychology courses. I have considerable experience in course and assessment creation having re-written course outlines and a years worth of assessments for three upper-school general courses, one ATAR Philosophy course and an original Year 9 elective criminology course. I have chaired committees designed to help incorporate First Nations/ Aboriginal content and culture into the every-day school context as well as curriculum, and to audit and improve reporting and assessing standards across the school. I led a team in the creation of a new Attitude, Behaviour and Effort judgement framework that incorporates the General Capabilities in the Australian Curriculum which is used along with the semester cognitive reporting. I am passionate about inclusive education and am devoted to continue my journey in learning how best to support all students and to continue building relationships within the local community.
