As the Development Associate, I am responsible for overseeing all fundraising activities including recording and generating donations, meeting with potential donors, and developing effective fundraising campaigns to meet our annual goals. In this role, I also oversee all social media communications, design attractive content, and create marketing materials.

During this internship, I aid in writing and editing annual recall reports to add new data. I create Canva and blog posts for this organization’s social media to increase outreach and viewer participation. I also conduct fundraising outreach by sending mass emails to various businesses for their annual Best Friend’s Event. Overall, I contribute to any open.

In this role, I create and present presentations for undergraduate Sociology students to expand their knowledge on career skills and paths while encouraging engagement in the department’s programs. I also hold office hours and peer advising appointments for students when needed and host events tailored to Sociology students.

In this position, I manage and create content for the Sociology department through independent and team collaboration as well as personal interviews.
