-Designed allocation, routing and improvement heuristics and implemented them as a complete package in Python. Was involved in continuous testing, analysis and improvement of the algorithm and python library. -Analysed the performance of existing library over multiple parameters using the available ground data.-Actively involved in planning and reviewing subtasks as well as mentoring junior members of the team.

My PhD research involved Mathematical modelling (ILP/ MDP) and designing heuristic approaches for large scale routing and allocation problems under uncertainty. The overview of my research experience is as follows: - Data Analysis: Extracting meaningful data from large raw data sets to build optimization problems and identifying input parameters for the models. - Modelling Problems and Designing Algorithms: Worked on solving large scale optimization problems using heuristics, metaheuristics, simheuristics, Approximate Dynamic Programming techniques. Solving problems involving uncertainty using Monte Carlo Simulation and Discrete Event Simulation. - Experiment Design and Analysis: Designed simulation experiments and analysing the performance of proposed algorithms under various metrics and comparing it with actual performance based on ground data as well as state of the art algomithms. - Applications: Worked on designing algorithms for numerous real life applications ranging from freight rail routing, inland container movement to Last mile logistics with trucks/ bikes and Electric Vehicles.- Programming tools: OOP in Python Mathematical modelling in Python Pulp, Python Pyomo, AMPL, Gurobi framework, Ortools Analytical tools : Python pandas, SQLSimulation: Python Simpy

Collaborative Project: Last Mile delivery Problem with realistic constraints-Studied the constraints associated with practical Last Mile Delivery Problem in freight transport-Modelled the problem as heterogeneous multi-period Vehicle Routing Problem with customer priorities- Designed, Implemented and Tested an heuristic approach in Python

- Analysed the existing container tracking data of international containers and extracted inlandcontainer movement based on this tracking information- Proposed a Approximate Dynamic Programming based algorithm to generate a Real-Time Decision Support System. - A significant decrease in distance traveled was demonstrated as compared to existing routes

-Analysed the data obtained from Electric Vehicles provided to the businesses regarding daily route,battery discharge and vehicle utilization. - Formulated an dynamic routing algorithm for stochastic batterylevels for the delivery trips by the Electric Vehicle (also worked on this as a part of my research post internship period).-Developed an Google API based routing model for long distance routing of Electric Vehicles that suggested multiple routes through Charing Station along with their corresponding reliability based on current charge level of the vehicle.

-Project 1: Studied alternate designs for check valve for a emission pump, proposed the most viablealternative and modelled the same in ProE-Project 2: Studied the initial testing conditions for a component in exhaust system and proposed accelerated life test procedure and parameters for the same to recreate the long term effects in a shorter test period.
