Process Engineer
Current• BOM Scrubbing, Risk Analysis, Alternate findings and Change Management.• Execution of product change notifications (PCN) and product discontinuous notifications (PDN/EOL)• Impact analysis and Corrective actions against Obsolescence Management(Analysis of PCN's), analyze and develop solutions to resolve risks against PCN• Ensuring equivalent and multiple alternates during an earlier stage of component part select creation• Identifying alternate, suggesting substitute or functional alternates to avoid material shortages in production due to NRND, EOL, or long lead time• Analyze the Bill of Material and identify alternates for single source line items to avoid monopoly problems in the future• Communicating risk-associated parts, with last-time-buy and end-of-life decisions. (Single source) to concern teams to maintain buffer stocks and advance procurement• Keep track of the life cycle status of the part database (Active/NRND/Obsolete/End of life)• Dealing with vendors for better alternative solutions and customization parts.• Coordinate the complete verification process for components and products.• Validating Manufacturer part number (MPN) of electronic components by following the ordering info provided by the manufacturer and checking its availability on the manufacturer's website
