Responsible for talent acquisition and cultivation and process improvement at a small software company (~10 developers). I managed the team’s remote work during COVID and launched a remote worker initiative that expanded the organization’s recruitment to cover all of North and South America. I also developed a complete professional development matrix for software professionals, defining 5 competency levels in 10 knowledge areas and how to develop and assess those competencies.

Directed Expedition, an intensive four-month discipleship and missions program. Provided spiritual direction for the Expedition staff (i.e. two ministry interns), and coach them in their direction of the students. Developed the spiritual formation and ministry training curriculum for the program, and led the teaching of that curriculum.

I developed and launched a SaaS portal for small colleges. I also consulted with MindQuest (Harvard Business School’s localization partner in Brazil) to restructure their IT team. My duties included: proposing new tools and procedures, interviewing candidates for the senior developer and IT department manager positions, documentation of legacy system, and development of new features in the e-learning portal.

Taught classes in the areas of Christian Spirituality and the History of Christianity. Duties also included technical administration of a Web-based distance education portal.

Managed software projects totaling $720,000 in projects in 2008 alone. Duties included requirements engineering, estimation, project management, test case design and implementation, build and deployment management, and end-user support.

Produced the user interface for the master installation utility and VirusScan 11, as well as the back-end ASP framework for Internet installs and updates for all products.
