I currently work full-time for West Virginia State University Agricultural Research and Extension Communications; recently transferring from the WVSU Economic Development Center. Prior to that I provided administrative support for the Dean and Director of Land-Grant Programs in the WVSU Office of Research and Public Service. I am adjusting to my new environment well and am excited to support the communications team. I also own a graphic design and marketing company which I manage during the evenings and weekends. In addition I co-own a tea and beverage company that is flourishing in the Washington DC area.On the side, I use my talent and creativity to layout advertisements, business cards, and promotional material for local, national, and international clients. I work with small businesses and non-profit organizations, and have a couple of large companies on my client list, as well. I have a passion for what I do, and hope to expand to a full service firm in the near future.Driven by other’s dependence on me, I take pride in successfully managing home, work, and play. My passion for design can be traced back to my last semester of college, where I spent significant time working on magazine layout and design. As a designer, I specialize in logo design and branding. As a mother I specializes in organization, scheduling, event planning, culinary arts, custodial services, counseling, tutoring, cosmetology and accounting. I'm known for my upbeat personality and ability to relate with anyone that crosses my path. My hobbies include...nothing, I don't have time. However, if I did I would love poetry (I used to be a rapper back in my day), writing, and anything to do with the arts.I have also expanded my talents by working on a contract basis as a graphic artist for a design firm stationed in Egypt with an office in Brooklyn, NY and a renewable energy company stationed in multiple states here in the US. Anyone who knows me will tell you I am a creative soul and an advocate for any injustice I witness. I use that creativity no matter what role I play and I'll be the first to speak out when deemed necessary.
