Responsible for worldwide delivery of a $240M annual project delivery budget directing a PM team of 40 resources. Defined and matured processes / tools across all IT organizations to support the business need for 18% YOY growth of project delivery from 2015 – 2019. Scaled the team leveraging a managed service and matured the PMO 2 levels per Gartner / CEB while at the same time increasing on-time / on-budget reliability to > 85%. Directed creation of IT’s M&A playbook and led the planning and execution of IT involvement in a $9B corporate purchase. In support of IT’s need to move faster and more flexibly, defining IT’s transition to a new operating model aligned with product line management and incorporation of agile delivery to achieve corporate digital priorities.

Responsible for methodology, process, governance and tools for an IT department with over 1200 employees and contractors delivering an $80M annual project portfolio. Deployed HP’s PPM portfolio management tool and supporting processes across the IT organization to ensure reliable delivery of IT’s project portfolio and provide senior management real-time visibly. Implemented measurement and worked with IT Leadership to ensure 95% organization compliance and to confirm IT focus on the most valuable outcomes for the business, now leveraged in the annual planning cycle. Introduced and led the organization transition from Waterfall to Agile leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework (SAF) and Rally’s scrum tool. Executed program delivery for the largest IT initiative at VMware. Developed the integrated plan and coordinated delivery across 8 tracks (including all IT departments), 15 project managers and 200+ resources. Also led planning and contracting for the transition from Oracle ERP to SAP.

Directed the IT Strategic Services organization. Provided IT with services such as project portfolio management (PMO), resource planning and allocation, finance, legal, procurement, vendor management, and enterprise telecom expense management.Portfolio Manager for a $180 million SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation to redesign core manufacturing business processes for planning, procurement, manufacture, QA and delivery of Genentech’s commercial products.

Directed a team of 80 staff and contractors. Delivered all technology requirements to five lines of business; Emergency Roadside Service, Sales (Membership), Marketing, Actuarial, and Travel including 125 offices, 8 call centers and eBusiness website to support 10 million members across 15 states.
