During these two years, I worked as the Project Director and Technical Lead for the heliostat actuation system of Gemasolar, the world’s first solar power plant based on central tower technology. The heliostat actuators play a crucial role in precisely directing solar rays onto the molten salt receiver located at the top of the tower, ensuring optimal energy capture and efficiency.Key challenges and achievements: • High-Precision Actuator Development: Led the design of high-performance actuators that met the demanding specifications required by the receiver system. • Industrialization within Budget: Managed to industrialize a cutting-edge design while maintaining cost efficiency and ensuring alignment with the project’s financial framework. • Supply Chain Establishment: Set up a robust supply chain to support the continuous manufacturing cadence required to meet the project’s deadlines.This role allowed me to develop a deep understanding of high-precision engineering and project management in the renewable energy sector, laying the foundation for the success of a pioneering solar plant.

In the early years of my career, I worked as the Technical Lead on several key projects within the Advanced Structures and Mechanisms Department at SENER Group. My work involved managing complex engineering tasks, from design to testing, and collaborating with high-performance teams in a technically demanding environment.Key projects and responsibilities: 1. Gemasolar Molten Salt Receiver Prototype: • Served as the Technical Lead and Manufacturing Supervisor. • Managed the testing campaign at the Plataforma Solar de Almería, ensuring the receiver met stringent performance criteria for the world’s first central tower solar plant. 2. HISAC Project (Supersonic Aircraft Noise Reduction): • Worked as Project Engineer, responsible for the design and calculation of noise-reduction components for supersonic jet engines. 3. SILENCER Project (Trent Engine Series Noise Reduction): • Served as Project Engineer, leading the design and calculation of noise-reduction systems for the Rolls-Royce Trent series commercial aircraft engines.These years were instrumental in developing my leadership abilities, as I guided high-performing teams in environments that demanded technical excellence and human collaboration.
