As a pharmacist with nearly two decades of experience in primary, social and secondary care, I bring a wealth of expertise in roles such as Trainer, CQC Inspector, NHS 111 Professional, and Head of Medicines Management for Community Health Services. In my current leadership role, I provide direction to Non-Medical Prescribers, specializing in resource management, governance compliance, quality improvement, and risk management and I coordinated the medicines management aspect of our latest CQC Inspection. I also serve as Deputy Chair for the Workforce Group and Member of the Medicines Board for Surrey Heartland.To spread my knowledge, I started a monthly LinkedIn audio event discussing medicines-related issues in community health service and author the newsletter "Community Health Service Nuggets."My career includes a tenure at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as Lead Pharmacist and Independent Prescriber. There, I developed and delivered a clinical pharmacy service to patients in Southwark & Lambeth, demonstrating my commitment to patient-centered care. I led on medicines aspects of patient care, identified areas of risk, and supported the development of care pathways for frail older individuals.As Lead Pharmacy Lecturer and Assessor at City and Islington College London, I supported learners in achieving their goals, conducted work-based observations, and facilitated workshops. At Barts Health NHS Trust, I served as a Specialist Pharmacist in the Acute Assessment Unit, ensuring optimal and cost-effective use of medicines.At Croydon Health Services, I played a crucial role as a Medical Information Pharmacist, providing pharmaceutical advice, supporting the Drug & Therapeutics Committee, and reviewing the introduction of new drugs and service developments.Beyond my professional achievements, I am a woman of faith dedicated to making a positive difference.
