Responsible for defining, implementing and measuring best practices for approximately 175 software testers within various delivery teams. Leverage industry recognized frameworks such as TMMi (Testing Maturity Model integration) and ISTQB to identify the tasks required to establishing and maintaining the TCoE. Oversee the work products of test leads and their offshore teams to ensure industry best practices and company guidelines are followed. Review and sign off on test deliverables such as proposals, test plans, testing effort estimates and test strategy documents. Work with vendor account managers to properly staff projects based on customer demand. Create test strategy documents for new programs. Raise testing risks to the program as needed and track them to closure. Coach test leads on testing best practices.Act as an advocate for continuously increasing the TCoE's level of maturity by contributing to discussions with stakeholders or to initiatives as needed. Collaborate with other TCoE members, stakeholders and testing vendors to help define and improve the testing processes used by all testing teams. Conduct process audits on specific testing projects/programs to ensure adherence to the TCoE's standards and address gaps as needed. Create, track and deliver the testing support for my assigned projects. Monitor the testing services provided by partner vendors and take corrective action when necessary. • Work with project teams and partner vendors to maintain proper staffing levels based on each project's forecasted testing demand and budget. Screen testing resources for projects as needed to ensure they are qualified and a proper fit • Review and approve Statements of Work for testing projects ensuring the conditions of work (description, duration & cost) are in line with each projects testing requirements. Manage and monitor vendor costs by negotiating the best rates for the testing resources and services provided.

Oversee all production code changes made to department applications to ensure their adherence to the company’s release & change management program and SOX controls. Collaborate with staff developers to ensure that all change requests meet the proper controls for risk, quality, backout and install planning. Use BMC Remedy to log, track and obtain governance approval for change requests. Also analyze current operational processes to identify security, quality or efficiency gaps; then recommend and implement improvements. Work on multiple projects in various capacities as needed - either business analyst, project manager or tester.

Facilitated the implementation of The Hartford's Enterprise Performance Testing's (EPT) CMMI-based processes, which in December of 2007, resulted in achieving a CMMI maturity rating of Level 2 & Level 3 in the process areas of Verification & Validation. Duties include mentoring the EPT staff on how to follow the process and use the new artifacts; Act as the primary administrator of EPT's configuration management system (Microsoft Visual SourceSafe) by creating projects, controlling access rights, establishing the proper directory structure etc.; Maintain process documents, templates, guidelines and policies in MS VSS for the organization; Mentor less experienced EPT personnel on CMMI methodology and QA best practice techniques; Conduct process audits and collect metrics on EPT projects and report results to management.

Manage multiple projects for the Enterprise Performance Testing team. Duties include meeting with clients to determine their performance testing requirements and then creating a statement of work ;create a requirements document and performance test plan; assisting in the design of automated test scripts; hold project status meetings with the clients and project team members; resolve issues between project team members in order to get tasks completed; study the final test results and publish them for the client; provide client with weekly status reports and project charges to date.
