With my increasing interest in product development, I joined the Skygear team and switched to a product role. My main job was to collect user feedback and channel useful insights to the product team. My achievements and responsibilities include:- Delivered 2 major releases (v1.6 & v1.7)- Organised the product roadmap and milestones by consolidating requirements from multiple stakeholders such as internal developers, online users, the sales team- Managed development schedule over GitHub and run regular product meetings- Worked with part-times to create on-boarding materials, including documentations, code demos and tutorials- Conducted task-based usability tests to understand what blocks users from using our product and arranged fixes- Engaged users with monthly newsletter and lifecycle emailsSkygear is a SaaS-based backend solution for web & mobile apps. It offers a user authentication service, microservice infrastructure management, and Docker & k8s automation.

I joined Oursky right after my first startup failure. Oursky is a Hong Kong-based software dev shop with a team of 50 passionate developers and UI/UX designers. This was the period when I acquired a great deal of app development knowledge and gained insights into how a startup works.I did both sales work for our app development services and business development for our flagship product, Skygear.Sales- Provided consultations and prepared proposals for startups or companies who need app development services- Landed 10 clientsBusiness development- Worked with my teammates to identify product-market fit by approaching companies who might need the solution over emails- Talked with 20+ potential users and converted 8 of them.
