The Research and Communications Director supports CHANGE Philanthropy to advance goals and strategies and plays a key role in the expansion of our influence and impact. The position is responsible for managing the expansion of the research agenda developed by CHANGE Philanthropy partners. The position is also responsible for increasing CHANGE Philanthropy’s visibility through all media channels and in relationship to philanthropic partners

• Provide strategic and operational oversight and tactical delivery for all SSO webinar programming this includes: identifying hot topics; recruiting speakers/moderators; negotiating contracts/agreements, setting price points; and liaising effectively with key departments internally to prepare webinars for marketing, implementing pre- and post-event evaluations, assessing results, and making recommendations for continuation, adjustment, discontinuation of webinars based on demand from the sector and return on investment for Foundation Center.• Work with CLD and SSO colleagues to document and improve internal systems to maximize webinar program delivery and effectiveness. • Serve as thought partner to CLD team on maximizing impact and expanding reach via our Learning Management System (LMS). Develop courses on the LMS as needed.• Deliver core training courses (online, in-person, and blended) in various locations throughout the USA, with special emphasis on New York City. • Collaborate with strategic partners across the U.S. and globally on activities including contract trainings, technical presentations, and special programming. Be readily available to design and deliver trainings abroad, as needed.• Collaborate with key colleagues (within SSO and beyond) on the development and implementation of innovation camps, learning labs, etc.• Help to elevate Foundation Center’s brand as a capacity builder by representing the organization at relevant forums, conferences, and convenings; with special emphasis on New York City.• Serve as advisor to improving internal operations, workflows, etc. within the SSO Division.• Serve as internal ambassador of the SSO Division as needed (task force representation, special initiatives/engagements, and more).• Contributes to special projects and performs other duties as needed.

• Plan, organize and lead structured programs of education, counseling, recreation and social activities for clients.• Develop curriculum, ensure the implementation of direct services that increase educational outcomes, and provide workforce related experiences through service learning. • Oversee the development of the program schedules, create marketing material, including social media, to garner positive media attention.• Conduct periodic evaluations of programs and develop improvement plans.• Prepare and successfully administer budgets.• Research community needs and recommend appropriate programming and/or services.• Maintain and successfully manage government funding.• Ensure the Literacy Center achieves annual service outcomes.

• Hire, train and supervise Justice Corps staff for Brooklyn and Queens sites;• Oversee recruitment and enrollment of eligible young people; • Coordinate with CASES’ youth programs staff to provide education and career development classes to participants;• Build and maintain strong working relationships with government and community partners to offer meaningful service learning opportunities; • Manage the program budget;• Ensure the collection of accurate and timely data on program performance; and• Ensure the program meets performance goals and outcomes.

Provide support for all activities related to new project/program development in the many services that touch the lives of young people -- from work force development to juvenile justice services to young fatherhood initiatives and beyond. This includes proposal writing, as well as start-up, analysis and documentation of adherence to proposed program elements during the early phase of program implementation.

Ensure primary oversight of a USDOL contract servicing recently incarcerated individuals, with emphasis on, workshop completions, incentive tracking, and retention. Coordinate the delivery of services by program staff, including outreach and post-placement retention services, case management, client engagement, and service planning.

Provide casework services for dual-diagnosed girls residing in congregate care and their families Conduct monthly home visits to support increased birth family involvement in services and service planning. Collaborate with consumers and social service teams on the development and regular assessment of service plansPromote the family-to-family concept in working with youth and families. Support the team approach to integrated casework, clinical, and residential service delivery Assure regulatory compliance with OCFS, ACS, and local family court standards for the provision, documentation, and diligence of services.
