Tyler (also known as “T.J.” to family, friends, and clients) is the Founder/CEO of ETM. Since launching ETM in 2020, Tyler has helped dozens of coaches and executives achieve career-changing opportunities, while negotiating millions of dollars in contracts.In 2024, Tyler received 2 major awards honoring his work in the sports industry. He was 1 of 3 selections for the University of Florida’s College of Health and Human Performance’s ‘Outstanding Young Alumni’ award, given to graduates of the college who have proven exemplary work in their career and community, within 10 years of graduation. Tyler then received the prestigious ‘10 UNDER 10’ award from Conduct Detrimental, an annual honor for individuals with exceptional contributions to sports law, within 10 years of law school graduation.Before launching ETM, Tyler oversaw compliance for the State of Iowa’s 1st legal sports wagering and fantasy sports programs. However, he quickly realized this was not the job for him as it did not fulfill his need to work directly with athletic personnel. So, he departed to create ETM.Prior to his time in Iowa, Tyler’s experience with athletic personnel includes working with college and NFL athletes and coaches at Select Sports Group, collaborating with agents and athletes seeking financing from Sure Sports, and develoiping athletes and coaches at the University of Florida. He also led marketing and PR efforts to help grow Front Office Sports into the leading sports business media platform, and wrote articles covering the sports agent industry as a Contributor for Sports Agent Blog.As someone who is passionate about helping others find their path in the industry and giving back to the community, Tyler serves as an Adjunct Instructor in the College of Education and G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas, and has been invited to speak on his career at schools including The Ohio State University, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Southern Methodist University, and more. He has also been involved in the NFL Players Association’s #AthleteAnd initiative, helping NFL athletes prepare for life after football.After moving from his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, Tyler received his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sport Management and a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He then graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the St. Thomas University School of Law, and while pursuing his law degree, Tyler also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University.
