Ken is a rocket scientist by training, but spends his time these days dedicated to building and scaling TenderBoard. An ex-Government Scholar, he left the tried and tested path and ventured out to start his own company.His unlikely journey to co-founding TenderBoard, began with his first job as an "arms trader", working for the Singapore Government to procure fighting ships and unmanned aircraft (and other things that cannot be spoken of). He later started his first company developing and marketing enterprise software solutions including mobile reporting systems and queue management systems. This first company was ultimately shut down, providing precious lessons to a rookie about the realities of entrepreneurship and what it would take to succeed.TenderBoard was started based on the observation that there was a gap in the market. While running his first company, he saw the challenges of procurement and tendering from both the Buyer's and Supplier's perspectives when working with customers. It didn't look pretty. TenderBoard was born with a mission to build a new kind of eProcurement System that will finally provide a means for all businesses to digitise and automate their Source-to-Pay processes for themselves and their suppliers.Today, TenderBoard has served both MNCs and SMEs alike, and has grown to a 20+ person team while being completely bootstrapped.
