Since August 2020 I have been employed at the Animal Health Division at the DVFA handling disease outbreaks in livestock - mainly minks, sheep and goats. I am also participating in administrative tasks concerning vaccines and official designation of veterinary laboratories.From my previous assignment I have 14 years of experience working with contingency planning and preparedness systems in the food sector including extensive experience in coordinating the investigation and handling of foodborne disease outbreaks both nationally and internationally and handling cases of withdrawal / recall of unsafe food, feed or food contact materials. The cases are often complex and include - risk management / coordination with several stakeholders (the public, companies, other authorities) - traceability: follow document/product trails in relation to product identification - make / obtain professional risk assessments (microbiology, chemistry, labeling, etc.) - make decisions based on assessments and conduct them - collect, review, validate and consolidate data for reporting in different database systems in the EU and nationally. In addition, I have experience with public administration, including preparing notes, resolution proposals and other written material such as guidelines and instructions for the topics I have worked on. Personally, I am a calm, orderly and honest temperament who can keep a cool head in stressful situations. I am good at structuring complex tasks with attention to the main goals and important details. I prefer working in teams but are used also to take on assignments on my own.
