Research on safety of autnomous driving systems

Administration and coordination of IT for a research institution with >50 student, scientific and administrative members. This includes but is not limited to:- Administration (incl. procurement and commissioning) of Windows end devices within the network of the University Hospital Freiburg- User management via central platform of the University Hospital- Administration incl. security concept of publicly accessible server infrastructure (CentOS) for communication, data exchange and scientific computing (e.g. Mattermost, Nextcloud, Jupyter)- Administration of a biobank server CentraXX under Windows Server- Administration, support and expansion of the backup solution (Synology NAS) for research data- Application development for processing and management of research data (Signal- and Image processing)- Support of the implementation of data handling according to the in development research Data Management Guidelines of the faculty- Administration of commercial software incl. licenses- Consulting of institute members in IT matters- Administration of the web presence (CMS; Typo3 and Wordpress)Realization of own research projects with reference to the orientation of the institute- Development and documentation of data processing and analysis software (MATLAB, Python).- Computer modeling of cardiac electrophysiology- Contributing in open-source cardiac computational modelling software (openCARP)- Implementation of computer vision algorithms for surface reconstruction of experimental samples in a panoramic optical mapping setup

- Development of hardware for interfacing between components of an optical mapping system.- Development of software for control of the optical mapping system and acquisition of data.- Developiment a pipeline to generate experiment-specific 3D heart surfaces using a novel approach for the three-dimensional, marker-free reconstruction using computer vision techniques- Performing computational simulations on the cardiac ischemia projec to aid in interpretation of 3D experimental data sets.- Documentation of developed hardware and software.

Computational and experimental approaches applied to cardiac research.

The Small Biosystems Lab is located in the Department of Condensed Matter Physics at the University of Barcelona. It was created in 2005 by Dr. Felix Ritort and is currently a global benchmark in combining theory and experiments to research the thermodynamics and non-equilibrium behaviour of small systems using single-molecule methods. His research has pioneered the use of single-molecule methods in Spain and his research group is a world-renowned member of the Catalan Research Network (AGAUR) and Spanish National Network of Biomedical Research Centres (CIBER).Tasks involved:- Building new Optical Twezeers intruments.
