Dr Teodora Popa, PhD is a London-based scientist in the field of genetics and human reproduction. She is currently the director of the Reproductive Science and Women’s Health programme and a lecturer in reproductive genetics at University College London (UCL) where she passionately lectures clinicians and scientists about the role of genetics and technology in health and reproductive medicine.Teodora is also the Chief Innovation Officer at Avenues Life in London, the world’s first fertility clinic which integrates artificial intelligence at every step of the patient journey to improve medical outcomes, based on data-driven approaches. Her research focuses on human fertility and the genetics of human embryos in the field of IVF and the integration of artificial intelligence. Her work has influenced international clinical practices in personalised medicine, contributing to several peer-reviewed publications in top scientific journals, as well as contributing to the Government’s Women’s Health Strategy for England. Earliet this year, teodora was named Young Scientist of the Year by the British Fertility Society.
