Working with the Infrastructure Manager to deliver projects such as an SQL Server Migration, SharePoint Migration to Office 365 and provide 3rd level support for infrastructure systems for Northern Beaches Council.

I worked as part of a team of four to manage the company’s IT services across Australia and China. These included sites in WA, NSW, SA, QLD and ACT as well as Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Chengdu and Guangzhou in China. The environment comprised a mix of physical and virtual hosts, which included Domain Controllers, Exchange and SQL Servers. Key Contributions:• Successfully migration of Exchange 2010 to Office 365.• PowerShell scripting to automate the creation of Office 365 mailboxes.• Successful decommissioning of Exchange 2010 at remote sites.• Subject Matter Expert on email messaging. Exchange, Outlook and Office 365.• Provided mentoring for Level 1 and 2 technicians on technical issues.

I worked as part of a team of five to manage the school’s IT services, comprising of nine VMware hosts and Dell SAN in a multi-tiered environment hosting 129 Windows Servers consisting of Exchange, SharePoint and Lync. I ensured these and other services were up and running at all times with minimal downtime for 2000 users. Key Contributions:• Successfully implemented SharePoint 2013 in 5 weeks.• Successfully migrated Exchange 2010 to Office 365 in 8 weeks.• Successfully upgraded from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010 in 3 weeks.• Installed Dell SAN EqualLogic with assistance from third-party vendor.• Improved the SOE desktop deployment of client computers for Level 1 support. Reduced time to restore a client’s computer.• Created a Service Desk used by IT and Property to keep track of incidents that occur at the school.• Migrated Windows 2003 servers to Windows 2012.• Delivered mobile device solutions using SaaS to monitor and trace devices.• Worked as part of a team to implement the school’s one-to-one laptop program of 900 laptops.• PowerShell scripting to automate the creation of mailboxes based on ILM provisioning.

I worked as a part of a team of four managing the smooth operation and high availability of IT services to the client and provide any break-fix solutions. I managed the Exchange 2003 servers and the Symantec Email Gateways. I assisted project teams to ensure projects were delivered on time and within budget, and documented system improvements and procedures for the client as well the Systems Management Team.Key Contributions:• Worked with third-party providers to implement a new fax system.• Created run sheets for level one support on common issues that occur with the email system.• Suggested and created a process of using Query Based distribution lists to reduce workload on manually adding users to email groups.
