Nothing has been more influential in helping me determine my professional goals than learning how to navigate the corporate world while keeping my passion for interpersonal connection and understanding others intact. Having spent the first several years of my professional life in the Human Services field, I had the opportunity to acquire skills and experiences to help better understand the importance of individualistic differences, recognizing others’ values and needs, and developing solutions to achieve results. What I quickly realized upon entering the world of corporate goals and business needs was that this foundation, understanding people, is not only relevant but integral to functional and effective people strategies within an organization. This realization ignited new career goals for me—to be a valuable part of bridging the gap and aligning people success with that of an organization. I recently completed my Master’s in Human Resource Management, and I am eager to put my education, business acumen, and strategic thinking to good use.
