About Tera Johnson
Ever since I graduated High School and landed one of my first jobs at the YMCA I knew I wanted to work with kids. Though my path has led me through a variety of jobs I feel it has helped build vital life and professional skills. Originally I pursued elementary education for my undergrad, but after much consideration I questioned whether teaching was a lifelong career I could see myself in which led me to get my degree in behavioral science. Once I graduated I felt well educated in human and child development and why people behave the way they do. This ultimately led me to become more compassionate and empathetic. Soon after I realized my heart was still with kids, so I decided to pursue my masters in elementary education which has been incredibly fulfilling and meaningful. Though I took a slight detour it only helped me gain skills that I believe will help me become a better teacher one day. Aside from my passion, in my free time I enjoy reading self development books and finding opportunities to learn new skills and traits. I love being outdoors and indulging in recreation of all sorts. Lastly, though I love my alone time I find the most pleasure in spending time with the people I love.My specialties include learning new skills, problem solving, interpersonal skills, communication, time management, computer skills, open mindedness and dependability.
