Work with firm partners and counsel to conduct legal research and provide comprehensive analysis and recommendations for resolution of potential conflicts of interest. Research and analyze conflict waivers and engagement letters in accordance with Rules of Professional Conduct, identifying where ethical screens are required and forming the scope of screen notices. Review, document, and handle issues in regards to lateral attorney conflicts. Review and analyze marketing materials for content, in accordance with client Outside Counsel guidelines. Review firm RFPs, Freedom of Information Act requests, and subpoena requests and responses.

Greater Los Angeles Area

Successfully opposed the certification of a high-profile class action lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Represented multiple counties through California in allegations arising under the California Constitution and California statutes. Obtained multiple favorable settlements in premises liability cases brought against government entities, five-star hotels, and a variety of entertainment venues throughout Los Angeles. Handled all matters relating to litigation including client intake; managing client expectations; prepared and responded to written discovery; drafted and opposed motions; conducted document review and ESI preservation; presented oral arguments in state and federal court in California and Texas; defended and conducted depositions, mediation, and trial.

Attended depositions; drafted deposition summaries; attended demurrer hearings and case management conferences. Drafted motions for summary judgment; demurrers; and motions to compel.

Greater Los Angeles Area

Conducted four preliminary hearings including charges for possession for sale of cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as evading a police officer; examined case files and contacted witnesses to appear in court for hearings; created witness lists for supervising attorney; reviewed RAP sheets for prior felonies on defendants and witnesses.
