Leadership & planning:• Leading production planning, applying labour times and machine allocations for all incoming jobs• Co-ordinating workshop job allocations, scheduling operations to be in-line with delivery dates• Planning and managing pre-emptive and emergency maintenance for workshop machinery• Ensuring safety is always a priority, advocating the use of PPE and adherence to company policies and legislation to create a safe working environment• Overseeing of subcontractors and listing of duties to meet onsite targets• Consulting with Engineers, Architects, safety officers and trade workersCustomer service, resource management & skills development:• Training and mentoring junior tradesman, leading skills development on both conventional and CNC machines• Liaising with clients, providing technical assistance• Drafting, updating and maintaining employee contracts• Managing staff operational delivery• Assisting Human Resources with all staff related matters• Implementing coordinated work programs for site Administration, logistics & ordering:• Generating and issuing quotes for all new work • Overseeing Quality Control training and maintaining adherence to company standards• Overseeing material planning, ensuring all material orders are in-line with project delivery timings• Managing internal communication between Sales Reps and office staff• Managing all logistical matters regarding the delivery of vital equipment, structural steel and safety gear, to and from site• Generating and issuing completion reportsTechnical assistance & operational delivery:• Overseeing and managing structural steel and process plant assembly, erection, installation and commissioning• Utilising technical expertise to assist the greater workshop team• Checking and assisting on Edge CAM programs before machining • Making of jigs• Carrying out toolmaking modifications• Ordering of all tooling, machinery and PPE• Interpreting architectural drawings and specs

• Leading daily production planning • Managing factory staff, including time-logging and overtime • Managing stock ordering, interpreting material requirements from architectural drawings• Delivering site safety and toolbox talks• Driving process plant erections and commissioning, including site lay outs from finished floor level (FFL)• Assisting with site meetings, taking the lead from clients• Organising and implementing both green field and brown field site projects• Maintaining and updating workshop and site layout, utilising the latest revisions on all drawings• Supervising the pre-assembly of workshop structures to ensure quality and fit• Overseeing the operations across various mining sites, including gold, coal, diamond, chrome• Liaising with external suppliers, operators and service providers, such as mobile cranes, safety checks and rigging
