MISSIONThe Terance Madden Foundation is a not-for-profit organization (501c3) dedicated to investing in the youth today to build a stronger tomorrow. The TMF serves to promote higher education primarily by awarding scholarships to deserving college and college-bound students.Our Mission: To support the educational endeavors of college students in their pursuit of excellence through financial support and community empowerment.HISTORYThe work of The Terance Madden Foundation (“The TMF”) was initiated in August 2015 by its founder, Attorney Terance Madden as the sole contributor.Founder Terance Madden values and stresses the importance of education as a great equalizer towards social development. He understands that a good education gives many the opportunity to become contributing members of society and he is devoted to helping students circumvent financial obstacles to reach and attain their goals.Therefore, The TMF aims to ensure that deserving college-bound students are not excluded from quality education because of financial needs. The TMF is committed to giving scholarships to graduating seniors and current college students in geographical areas that are experiencing financial depravation and lack of four-year degrees.

Through homeowner education we prepare families for the life-changing experience of home ownership.Through our innovative literacy initiative we help families gain an understanding of financial and computer literacy. Our reading initiative elevates the value of reading on grade level and develops increased reading skills for life. As our program expands we will include vocational and life skills education.Through engagement, participation and sacrifice we help families work hard to achieve independence.Through new home construction we partner with financial sponsors and hundreds of volunteers to build attractive, affordable and energy efficient homes. We don’t give houses away; We sell homes to qualified low income families and give them a 0% interest loan for up to 30 years.Through our rehabilitation efforts, we transform foreclosed and vacant properties from eye sores to success stories.Through critical home repair, we help existing homeowners improve their quality of life, save money on energy bills, and strengthen neighborhoods.Through engaging people to serve and make a difference we help communities be stronger. We build bridges between government, businesses, churches, civic groups, schools and individuals who wants to join us in making a difference. We help neighbors to partner and serve in their own neighborhoods.Our work is about people more than projects or houses. Our bottom line is making a difference in the lives of the people we touch—whether they are volunteers, staff, board members, community partners, vendors, or the people that live in a neighborhood we are working in. MISSION/VISIONThrough a structured and supportive environment, the Utopian Academy for the Arts will develop academic and artistic students to enter and to succeed in the global society with proficiency to enroll in a college, university or specialty school of their choice. Utopian Academy for the Arts shall be a community school; nurturing academic excellence for all students and demonstrating leadership in character development. The vision statement is intended to serve as both the blueprint for improvement and the benchmark by which we will evaluate our progress.
