As Director of a financial advisory boutique for over 7.5 years,, and with over 12 years of corporate finance experience prior to that, my expertise lies in steering growth companies through equity financing and M&A transactions and in building finance functions to cope with that growth. Conversely I have had experience of reducing costs and restructuring. I act both as adviser and as a CFO, particularly within the pharma services sector recently but with wide sector experience gained previously (from alligator skins to flowers, cleantech to real estate!). I combine an analytical approach - as a chartered accountant who has been at the coal face of corporate finance deals, and as a CFO who has had to build finance functions from scratch, I am not scared of the detail - with a grasp of strategy, knowing what investors, lenders or acquirers will typically want to see.
