Shamrock Foods are an FMCG food company distributing Roma, Shamrock and Odlums products into multiples, independents and wholesalers.I covered the South Munster region calling into Dunnes, Supervalus, Independent stores and wholesalers capturing orders and obtaining promotional space.I was responsible for 8 Dunnes where 6 of the 8 stores posted positive figures for the Christmas home baking period which is key to Shamrock Foods year on year figures.I was responsible for 13 SUPERVALU's where we had responsibility for the pull through of Shamrock products from central distribution into individual stores and to gain space for current promotions.

Bluestone are the main distributors of Brita water filters and filter systems in Ireland into multiples and independent stores. They are also the distributors of Cosco Ladders and Packmate Storage solutions into 4Homes and Woodies DIY stores.I covered the Munster area calling to all major multiples and independent stores working to set weekly targets for Brita filters.I had to call to local hardware stores as well as main stores such as 4Homes and Woodies to sell Cosco Ladders and Packmate Storage solutions. These were sold on the back of Brita orders.

I worked with the team responsible for rolling out the brand to all retail channels in Cork. I started as a Sales Merchandiser which involved executing all the promotional activity in store. I was promoted to Indirect Sales Merchandiser for West Cork which involves pulling orders through wholesalers into independent stores. I was then promoted to Business Developer for West cork in July 2006. Sales Merchandiser May 2004Executed sales promotions within supermarkets and shops in prime locations. My duties included the control of stock, ordering and staff rotas. In my time in lidl in was involved in all aspects of the store. From ordering the stock, merchandising the stock and minimising stock loss. I was responsible for all the banking in the store and all the accounting issues of the store. I was responsible for all staffing issues from staff discipline to staff rotas. This included working to strict budgets which were set bi-monthly.

My duties included the day to day running of the store. The ordering of promotional stock and it’s display where my main duties and the control of hygiene standards where we once again were awarded the hygiene mark.

My main duties included stock control and the supervision of the shop floor and staff. In my time at Ryan’s I gained a wide knowledge of all the operational aspects of the store. I spent time in all areas of the store and was responsible for the hygiene of the store, which resulted in the store being awarded the hygiene mark. I also spent time as the goods inwards manager which included the supervision of deliveries and provided an alternative view to the chilled distribution system
